Terms

I'd be happy to design and maintain a website in the following categories:

- Personal
- Local political
- Small church
- Small private school
- Small organization
- Small business (without secure online ordering)

If you've found a site that you like the layout of, let me know and I can try to copy the general layout. It makes my job a lot easier if you know exactly how you want your site to look, or if you know of another site you'd like yours to resemble.

I can create basic logos/graphics, but if you want a professionally created logo you'll probably have to have someone else make one. I can then incorporate it into the site.

I can incorporate audio clips in various compressed formats. You will have to provide me with the audio either on CD, cassette tape, or via email attachment (if they are a small file). Please keep in mind that audio files can get quite large and depending on how much space you bought from your web host, you may not have enough room. Also, if you give the audio to me on cassette tape, be aware that it takes a while to convert this to a digital file format, so the hours may start to count up. Copywrited or other illegal files will not be accepted.

I can also incorporate most video clips online. However, keep in mind that in order to be small enough for visitors to download, it will have to be a fairly compressed file. Video files usually take up more space than audio ones, so again watch out that you don't exceed the amount of space you have online. Copywrited or other illegal files will not be accepted.

Due to time constraints, I generally do not offer script-writing or web software development services. These usually require lots of time and effort that I do not have due to my schooling. However, I can incorporate pre-written, open source programs and sometimes can write my own simple ones.

Though I could probably do them, I currently do not offer Flash-based websites. However, I can make a simple flash intro or navigation bar if you tell me what you want it to do (without sound). Please keep in mind that Flash movies take much longer to create than simple images do, so the hourly rate will definitely start to count up.

I do not offer website or domain hosting services, so you will have to chose a provider and give me the username, password, and ftp information.

I prefer to communicate via email. I usually check it multiple times per day and usually reply in a short amount of time.

I currently do not have you sign a contract before I begin service. I will require a $24 non-refundable deposit before I begin work. This will cover the first hour of work. After this, I work as I am paid. Failure to pay bills on time will result in a pause of design work until bills are paid. Refusal to pay bills will result in all files created in the unpayed-for time to be deleted from your site until payment is made.

All terms and pricing are subject to change at any time. You will be notified of any price changes at least one month prior to change. Since there is no contract, you (after paying all owed fees) or I (after notifying you) may terminate service at any time.
